The ASEAN Rotary Intercountry Committee was established in May 2022 which brought together more than 42,000 members from 1,600 Rotary Clubs across the region.

The purpose of a Rotary ICC is to increase fellowship and intercultural understanding, foster stronger ties between members, clubs, and districts from different countries, and establish networks across borders. The formal framework of Rotary ICC is for strategic, long-term relationship and provides an additional means for Rotary and Rotaract clubs to fulfill the responsibilities of the 4th Avenue of Service, namely international understanding, goodwill and peace.

The ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) is one of the three pillars of ASEAN Community which envisions a community where people enjoy the benefits of being part of ASEAN.

“At the heart of the ASCC is the commitment to lift the quality of life of its peoples through cooperative activities that are people-oriented, people-centered, environmentally friendly, and geared towards the promotion of sustainable development to face new and emerging challenges in ASEAN. The ASCC is committed to opening a world of opportunities to collectively deliver and fully realize human development, resiliency and sustainable development through Member States’ cooperation on a wide range of area, including: culture and information, education, youth and sports, health, social welfare and development, women and gender, rights of the women and children, labor, civil service, rural development and poverty eradication, environment, transboundary haze-pollution, disaster management and humanitarian assistance”.

The ASEAN Rotary Network with its wealth of expertise and experience in the region to promote a strong sense of commitment and ownership of projects and activities that will gradually help weave into the fabric of the ASEAN Community and help to strengthen social cohesion guided by Rotary’s Areas of Focus

Effectively, with the ASEAN Rotary Network, the members can embark in cross districts (and cross member countries) activities and projects guided by Rotary’s Areas of Focus to fulfil the elements of ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Plan of Action

The Peace Conference is a manifestation of Rotary's Pillars of Peace, a comprehensive framework addressing the root causes of conflict and promoting conditions conducive to sustainable peace. These pillars include:

• Conflict Prevention and Resolution: Rotary recognizes the importance of proactive measures in preventing conflicts before they escalate. The Peace Conference serves as a platform to discuss innovative strategies and best practices in conflict resolution.

• Water and Sanitation: Acknowledging the link between access to clean water and peaceful societies, Rotary's initiatives in water and sanitation contribute to the overall well-being of communities and reduce potential sources of conflict.

• Maternal and Child Health: By prioritizing the health and well-being of mothers and children, Rotary aims to create healthier, more stable communities. Improved healthcare can positively impact social structures and contribute to a peaceful environment.

• Basic Education and Literacy: Rotary believes in the transformative power of education. By investing in basic education and literacy, Rotary empowers individuals to break the cycle of poverty and ignorance, fostering a more informed and harmonious society.

• Economic and Community Development: Sustainable economic development is vital for social stability. Rotary's initiatives in this pillar aim to create thriving communities, reducing the risk of economic disparities that can lead to conflicts.
